Suspended platform for bridge maintenance

Project requirements

To carry out a total rehabilitation of a riveted steel bridge, the client requested an access solution to reach the underside of the metal bridge deck, capable of both vertical and horizontal movement to cover the entire span.

Supply of an Accesus Komplet suspended platform that travels on rails to access any point on the underside of the bridge. Additionally, a second, wider platform was developed specifically for conducting the maintenance work.

Solution

The first, smaller platform travels along the rail to transport operators to the main work platform. The main work platform, featuring a special 1.5-meter width, is suspended via motorized trolleys moving perpendicular to the bridge deck.

The total height reaches nearly 500 meters above the ground at the central point of the river. An autonomous generator was chosen to power the platform, eliminating the need for excessively long electrical hoses.
