Suspended rotating platform on rail for blast furnace maintenance in steelworks
Project requirements
The client requires a means to perform repairs inside a blast furnace. It is an essential condition that all equipment be assembled from above, through the upper furnace inlet located on one side.
Development, supply, assembly, testing, customer training, and personnel stand-by services throughout the industrial shutdown of a blast furnace using a special rotating and extensible hanging platform.

Solution
We developed a fully custom equipment set, from the platform with a special T-shaped balcony and a telescopic system to the folding suspension rail, to allow entry through the side upper opening.
The complete equipment was deployed and assembled at a height of 30 meters. Working conditions inside a Blast Furnace are extremely harsh; our equipment and personnel rose to the occasion, and the client achieved improvements in their work times.
