Suspended platform for painting maintenance at LNG tank tower racks

Project overview

Background

The metal structure supporting the connection pipes of a 50 meter high LNG (Liquefied Gas) tank needs to be repaired by blasting and painting.

Project

Provision, assembly, testing and customer training on an electric suspended platform hung from the existing structure using special lanyards.

Solution

We used an electric length-modular suspended platform hung from the top of the structure.

By changing the suspension points’ position, the customer has access to the metal tower’s entire interior perimeter.
The customer saves time and money by avoiding a tubular perimeter scaffold.
