Background
In order to carry out a total renovation in a bridge made of riveted steel, the customer requests a means that allows access to the lower face of the bridge’s metal deck. It needs to have vertical and horizontal movement to cover the entire bridge.
Project
Provision of an Accesus Komplet suspended platform that runs on rails to access any part of the bridge from the lower side.
Development of a second, wider platform to carry out the maintenance work.
Solution
The first, smaller platform runs along the rail to transport the workers to the main working platform.
The working platform with a special width of 1.5 meters is suspended by motorized trolleys perpendicular to the bridge.
The total height is almost 500 meters above the ground at the central river spot. It was decided to power the platform with an autonomous generator to avoid long electric hoses.
