Background
To carry out inspections on a newly built cable-stayed bridge, the customer needs an access system that runs along each strand.
Project
Development of a totally customized platform that allows going along the strand to inspect and repair it.
Solution
A platform powered by a 1,000 kg cable hoist assembled on a winch that allows it to move forward and backward. The platform has one or two demountable cradles to transport people. An autonomous power generator provides the electricity supply.
This system can be used for other cable-stayed bridges.
