Background
The customer needs to repair the refractory brick inside a chimney in a steel factory.
Project
Development of an electric suspended platform that allows access for people around the chimney’s interior perimeter.
Solution
The equipment consists of two suspended platforms connected by a modular telescopic system that allows the entire inner perimeter of the chimney to be covered by increasing or decreasing the distance between platforms, adapting to the diameter of the chimney depending on the height to be worked.
The rotational displacement is carried out by the trolley suspension system on a circular track beam.
The equipment was a success; it allowed the chimney’s interior repair to be carried out safely and gave an excellent result and performance in a very harsh environment, such as the inside of a steel mill chimney.
